It’s a buoyant, entrepreneurial £6.9 billion-a-year industry that provides exciting, fashion-focused career opportunities for thousands of young people every year. The national hairdressing awards, The It List shines a spotlight on the brightest, most ambitious and creative new British and Irish talents aged 30 and under. Jordan Massarella of Nashwhite has already proved he has a brilliant future in hair and now he has earned a place on the IT Guy 2019 shortlist.
Now in its tenth year, The It List – presented by leading industry publication Creative HEAD and exclusively sponsored by ghd. Its the most exciting and rewarding competition for young British hairdressers, leading to career-defining recognition and opportunities. This year’s entries were judged by an exceptional panel of hair, fashion and business experts. Such names include fashion and beauty journalists Alice Hart-Davis, Jessica Bumpus and Cassie Steer; talent agent Candice O’Brien and fashion designer Louise Gray. Likewise other big names include session stylists Louis Byrne and Anna Cofone; industry influencers Aaron Carlo, Adam Reed and Sophia Hilton. Also noteworthy are the innovative, pioneering salon owners like Luke Hersheson, Christel Lundqvist, Andrew Cannon and Matt Robinson.
Jordan is one of five finalists in THE IT GUY category, who will be joining a star-studded, 700-strong guest list at The It List Grand Final. The event takes place onMonday 2 September, where we will discover who will take home the title. Taking place at London’s Printworks – the atmospheric space that once delivered the Metro and Evening Standard newspapers to London. Furthermore, the event will be hosted by actor and comedian Aisling Bea. So it seems like the IT List Grand Final is bound to be the coolest event in the hairdressing calendar.

The winners – The Rising Star, The Fashionista, The Entrepreneur, The Visionary, The It Guy and The It Girl will receive some incredible prizes. First of all, each will get a prestigious It List trophy, an exclusive ghd workshop experience and 12 months of profile-projecting coverage in Creative HEAD in print and online.
