NashWhite from Warwick have been recognised during the hairdressing industry’s longest running awards event, dedicated to celebrating creative talent and ‘Hair Inspired by Fashion’. On Monday 3rd June 2013 inside the stunning Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London NashWhite concluded their epic 4-month journey with a distinguished achievement during the glamorous 58th annual L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final scooping the 2013 L’Oréal Colour Trophy Regional Winner Award for the Southern region.
The ecstatic salon team took to the dazzling stage in front of an star studded audience of over 1000 including fashions finest Alexa Chung and the ubér talented Shingwai Shonwai of the Noisettes. NashWhite celebrated their national triumph as the super cool and very charming presenter George Lamb handed them their acclaimed award during rapturous applause.

Back in March 2013 NashWhite submitted their photographic entry that encapsulated a well-executed, inspirational, modern colour with a beautiful editorially inspired style and finish on a female model, complementing an Autumn / Winter 2013/14 fashion trend. Their eye-catching model look stood out amongst over 1000 entries and secured them a place within one of the high energy seven Regional Finals across the UK. With over 465 fellow regional finalists NashWhite once again impressed the Southern Region judging panel with their flawless live hairdressing skills and fashion led overall model look achieving themselves a sought-after place at the famous L’Oréal Colour Trophy grand final.
Only 28 UK salons held a place in the Grand Final for this category and NashWhite faced a judging panel of some of Britain’s most accomplished and renowned hairdressers including Andrew Barton and Richard Ward. The salon had just 2 hours 30 minutes inside the L’Oréal Academy in London to recreate their model look and demonstrate their ability to fuse together precision cutting, faultless colour, beautiful make-up and fashion led clothes styling.
As the team at NashWhite travelled to the fully dressed Grosvenor House they were unaware that they would be taking home a prestigious trophy. The L’Oreal Colour Trophy grand final had transformed the Great Room within the Grosvenor House, London into a spectacular fashion arena with a 25 meter white catwalk hovered over by a mirrored suspended ceiling and a runway of lights. Panels of light engulfed the room and mammoth LED screens ensured that the audience were captured and drawn into the evening’s shows.

The show opened up with a stunning catwalk show by not one but four successful pioneers of British Hairdressing, each renowned for both their career and creative achievements. Ken Picton, Charlie Miller, Jo Hansford MBEand Alan Edwards will each presented 6 model looks that encapsulate their brands unique creative signatures. This show fused bold, fashion led colour statements with exclusive collection pieces from designers including Felder Felder, Maria Grachvogel, Bernard Chandran and Aminika Wilmont
The second show of the evening was by the highly acclaimed Trevor Sorbie MBE and the Trevor Sorbie Artistic Team who took the audience through a magnificent and beautiful journey. The creative, world renowned team combined their tremendous individual talents and immerse the audience in their passion for artistic yet fashion led hairdressing. Each section of this inspirational show reminded the audience why Trevor Sorbie and team have continued to propel creative hairdressing throughout the years.
The thrilling evening was brought to a tremendous finale for NashWhite as they seized L’Oréal Colour Trophy Regional winner award for the Southern region a presented a stunning trophy which will no doubt be just the beginning of their successful journey.
